Charlotte Giblin :: Speaker

“I teach how to see clearly.
I discovered that simple techniques used in my art practice not only helped me to view the world in a different way - and improved my paintings - but also enabled me to understand other people with an entirely new perspective.
In my presentations, I share these creative methods of ‘seeing clearly’ – rooted in the science of perception – which can be used as powerful, positive, and effective tools for personal and professional change.”

As an experienced educator and skilled communicator accustomed to working with adults of all ages and from varied backgrounds, Charlotte weaves together an empathetic nature and an accessible, engaging personal approach with a creative ability to see – and overcome –obstacles with a bigger-picture perspective.

Charlotte brings humour, sincerity, and enthusiasm to all her professional endeavours and a unique perspective honed by decades of blending creative and corporate roles. Her extensive work in the self-help sphere adds vital layers of depth, awareness, and knowledge to her interactions, mentoring, and public speaking.

The Power of Perspective

The Power of Perspective is an interactive group seminar which uses a memorable visual presentation grounded in the science of perception to clearly demonstrate how to “change the way you see” in both a physical and emotional sense. The material is presented in an accessible way which relates to all demographics and ages.

Participants learn through a simple, entertaining, creative example and group discussion:

-
How personal perception completely alters your environment
-
How to change your reaction - and adopt additional depths of personal responsibility
-
The power of objectivity - looking at a problem from a new angle
-
A new perspective can dramatically improve your communication skills

The seminar is accompanied by an engaging visual presentation highlighting each subject and theme, helping to develop new forms of communication, improve social-awareness skills, and is sure to act as a memorable trigger long after the workshop.
This is particularly good for broadly mixed demographics, new teams (as an icebreaker), leadership and management development/training days.
This can either be a 1.5 hr stand-alone seminar (including Q&A) or combined with ongoing on-site workshops to embed the philosophy.
Push the Light
Push the Light is a keynote or seminar that uses simple artistic techniques to demonstrate new ways of seeing the world – and the other people in it!
This is a presentation suitable for any demographic – the central focus and start point is the portrait of Charlotte’s mother, who suffered from anorexia – and the presentation clearly shows, in an accessible and relatable way, the sliding scale of energy and personal/professional capability available to each of us. It addresses:
-
Perfectionism, competition, and comparison
-
New approaches to social awareness
-
Personal responsibility: emotional reactions within a social or workplace context
-
How to change the way you see the world

Push the Light offers a new way to approach personal and professional development, and (always!) changes the way participants view the world afterwards!
This is a 1.5 hr stand-alone keynote or seminar (including Q&A) or can be combined with other activities as part of a retreat, development day, or team-building enterprise.
